The return

By the time Eleanor reached the orchard, the last of the rain had passed. Everything smelled of wet leaves and the kind of summer she thought she had forgotten.

The house stood where it always had, beyond the stone wall. One upstairs window was open.

She set her bag down at the gate.

A few things you might be wondering.

How does the free trial work?

Try one book for seven days or 3,000 cumulative manuscript words, whichever comes first. No card required and no automatic charge. Your trial starts with your first editor session, or when you import or save manuscript text. Deleting words does not restore the allowance.

Can I bring in a book I've already started?

Yes. Import Word (.docx), EPUB, plain-text, Markdown, or HTML files. Imported words count toward the trial allowance; a manuscript larger than your remaining allowance requires paid access.

Can I try the publishing exports?

Yes. Active trial and paid accounts can create EPUB and print-ready PDF exports. Preview your formatting before preparing your files for KDP, IngramSpark, or another supported publishing platform.

What happens when my access ends?

You can still read and download your saved manuscript in Word, HTML, text, and portable backup formats. Publishing exports require active access. Choose a paid plan to keep writing.

Do my beta readers need an account?

No. Share a private reader link so they can read and leave inline feedback in their browser. Each reader sees their own notes.

How do billing and refunds work?

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically; you can cancel future renewals in settings. A one-time lifetime plan is also available for access while the hosted service operates. Your first paid purchase has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact support within 30 days to request a refund. Subscription renewals are not covered.
